BERLIN VITAL – The new fair for the real,- BERLIN-MARATHON

Germanys biggest fair for sport, health and lifestyle at the 30. real,- BERLIN-MARATHON

The anniversary event of the 30th real,- BERLIN-MARATHON on September 27-28, 2003 has significant changes—not only with the new start and finish at the Brandenburg Gate and the new course through Berlin, but also in the accompanying marathon trade fair, BERLIN VITAL.

The new fair halls 21 a/b - 23 a/b offer more room for the exhibitors, marathon participants, and visitors, so that the fair can be more spacious and open. Special theme parks with information in the areas of health, nutrition, and sport innovation will offer the participants a new and interesting component in addition to the official race number distribution for the 30th real,- BERLIN -MARATHON. The marathon participants will be able to pick up their race numbers during the exhibition from Thursday to Saturday and “take in“ everything about running. The large Pasta Lounge is also integrated into the "BERLIN VITAL" fair and offers the runners as well as visitors a non-stop pasta party on all fair days..

All in all there will be about 15,000 m² of exhibition space and event areas available. The entrance area is across from the TV station RBB Berlin on Masurenallee. Large parking lots in front of the halls will make it easier for guests and exhibitors to access the BERLIN VITAL fair. Public transportation (bus, subway and elevated subway) will also be more convenient. Further advantages for the fair visitors are the proximity of the summer garden, where the bambini race will take place on Saturday, and possible usage of the outdoor areas for an outdoor pasta party.

The BERLIN VITAL exhibition hours are:
Thursday, 9/25/2003 from 2 – 9 p.m.
Friday, 9/26/2003 from noon – 9 p.m.
Saturday 9/27/2003 from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

The “Berlin VITAL 2003“ expects an increase in visitors from 90,000 to well over 100,000. Not only participants of the real,- BERLIN-MARATHON and their companions are expected, but also many people from Berlin and Brandenburg who are interested in sport are expected, as well. All are invited who are interested in any kind of endurance sport (running, walking, Nordic walking, skating, biking, triathlon, swimming,) and who would like to get informed about a healthy and athletic way of life.

With the new concept of the “BERLIN VITAL“ fair, the designers of the exhibit from the real,- BERLIN MARATHON and SCC RUNNING have created with their project the largest fair of its kind in all of Germany.
