The real,- BERLIN MARATHON at the New York City Marathon

While the organisers from SCC RUNNING in Berlin are making the final preparations for the 40th Berlin Cross Country Race on November 9th in the Grunewald Forest, one team of the organising committee has been working since Wednesday at the giant the New York City Marathon fair. The new invitations for the 23rd Bewag BERLIN HALF MARATHON on April 4, 2004 and the 31st real,- BERLIN MARATHON on September 25/26, 2004, and other information from Berlin are being distributed at the official stand of the BERLIN MARATHON at the Expo on Pier 94 on the Hudson River. Representatives from the real,- BERLIN MARATHON have already been active at the marathon races in Cologne, Munich, Frankfurt and Chicago. There was great resonance and lots of praise everywhere for the race organisation and world record party at the anniversary marathon at the Brandenburg Gate.Through its solidarity campaign following 9/11, the real,- BERLIN MARATHON has received a special status and the four marathon world records in Berlin since 1988 have made Berlin legendary. But it is no time to “rest on ones laurels“, but rather to continue to drum up the call for the new edition of the marathon classic next year in Berlin. New York City is a meeting point for the worldwide travel agencies for marathon tours, which makes the marathon fair in New York City a “MUST“ for every event organiser.
And for the over 100 participants of the RBB Running Movement, who are participating in this years New York City Marathon, the real,- BERLIN MARATHON stand stirred those feeling of home that will help give them wings on Sunday.
